VENUES AND STADIUMS
Resilient communications for safer, smarter and better-connected venues, stadiums and events.
WHEN THOUSANDS ARRIVE, YOUR CRITICAL CONNECTIVITY CANNOT LEAVE
From packed stadiums and arenas to exhibition centres and temporary events, modern venues depend on communications that keep people, information and operations moving.
Video. Body-worn cameras. Staff applications. Payments. Security. Medical response. Event operations.
When demand increases, those services need connectivity designed to keep performing.
Simoco delivers resilient communications for complex venue environments, combining critical communications expertise with Private 5G to help connect the people, devices and applications behind every event.
ONE OPERATIONAL NETWORK. MULTIPLE VENUE USE CASES.
From the concourse to the control room, private 5G can connect the people, devices and applications that keep a venue moving.
OPERATIONAL VIDEO
See more. Move video where operations need it.
Operational video is becoming increasingly mobile and data intensive.
Private 5G can provide dedicated local capacity for applications such as body-worn video and operational CCTV, supporting reliable uplink across defined areas of a venue.
For a Proof of Value, Simoco can focus on measurable outcomes such as uplink performance, frame loss and video availability.
Keep video moving without relying entirely on shared connectivity.
BODYCAMS
Keep mobile teams connected across the venue.
Operational teams don’t remain behind desks or within predictable Wi-Fi coverage.
People and devices move between entrances, concourses, seating areas, hospitality spaces, external zones and back-of-house environments.
Private 5G provides a broadband connectivity layer that can support mobile video and data alongside existing critical voice systems.
Keep trusted voice. Add the broadband capability modern venue operations demand.
STAFF APPLICATIONS
Put operational information in the hands of the people who need it.
Modern venue operations increasingly depend on connected applications and mobile devices.
Private 5G can provide controlled connectivity for operational users and applications across defined areas, supporting staff and devices as they move throughout the venue.
From event operations and incident information to maintenance, security and service applications, connectivity becomes part of the operational workflow.
Connect people to information wherever the event takes them.
POINT OF SALE
Half-time. Intervals. Gates opening. The headline act finishes.
Thousands of people can converge on concessions, merchandise points and hospitality areas within minutes.
That’s exactly when connectivity matters.
The venue evidence in Antevia Private 5G Business Case.docx includes a rugby-ground deployment where public-network congestion affected PoS, with Private 5G supporting operational staff, medical users, press, traders and VIP users.
Private 5G can provide a dedicated connectivity option for selected terminals, concession areas and temporary trading locations.
Because a full venue shouldn’t mean disconnected tills.
TEMPORARY EVENT COVERAGE
Take connectivity where the event goes.
Not every venue environment is permanent.
Festivals, concerts, fan zones, temporary hospitality, additional entrances and external compounds can extend operations far beyond the normal network footprint.
A portable Private 5G deployment can provide controlled connectivity across defined temporary areas and subsequently be dismantled and reused. The business case includes an event reference based on rapidly deployable temporary connectivity designed for reuse.
Build today. Connect the event. Redeploy tomorrow.
OPERATIONS & INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
Connect the information behind the response.
Operational decision-making depends on information arriving from across the venue.
Video, connected devices, applications and mobile operational teams can all contribute to the wider operational picture.
Private 5G provides another connectivity layer for moving selected operational information between the field and the systems that venue teams rely upon.
Better connectivity. Better visibility. Better-informed operations.
KEEP PEOPLE CONNECTED
Support security, medical teams, operational staff and event partners.
KEEP REVENUE FLOWING
Help ensure point of sale, concessions and hospitality stay connected when demand peaks.
KEEP THE EVENT MOVING
Extend connectivity beyond the stadium with rapid, flexible coverage for temporary event spaces.
WHY PRIVATE 5G?
A dedicated operational network where you need it.
Private 5G isn’t about giving every visitor another mobile network. It’s about providing controlled, predictable connectivity for the people, devices and applications that keep the venue operating.
Predictable coverage
Design connectivity around the areas your operations actually use.
Operational uplink
Support data-intensive applications such as operational video.
Mobility
Connect selected mobile people, devices and assets across the coverage area.
Local control
Create an operational network designed around the venue’s requirements.
Indoor & outdoor
Combine indoor and outdoor radio options across different parts of the venue.
BUILT TO COMPLEMENT.NOT SIMPLY REPLACE.
A modern venue may already rely on DMR, TETRA, Wi-Fi, public mobile, CCTV and fixed networks. Private 5G doesn’t mean throwing those investments away. It adds dedicated broadband capability for operational video, data, IoT and mobile applications while established communications continue supporting existing services.

BUILT FOR OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS
The Simoco and Antevia approach
Antevia supplies the private 5G network layer. Simoco brings critical-communications experience, RF capability, solution design and systems-integration knowledge to focus the deployment on the customer’s operational outcome.
PRIVATE 5G NETWORK
A dedicated network designed around agreed venue coverage and capacity requirements.
VENUE-FOCUSED DESIGN
Coverage is planned around entrances, concourses, service areas, operations rooms, hospitality zones, external spaces and temporary facilities.
OPERATIONAL INTEGRATION
The solution is developed around relevant devices, applications and existing communication systems.
LOCAL NETWORK MANAGEMENT
The Antevia iConn platform provides centralised management for the private 5G Open RAN environment, including configuration, monitoring and control.
INDOOR AND OUTDOOR OPTIONS
The proposition includes indoor radio units and an outdoor radio option, allowing designs to address internal venue spaces and selected external operational areas.
GOT QUESTIONS? WE’VE GOT ANSWERS
IS PRIVATE 5G INTENDED TO REPLACE OUR EXISTING RADIO SYSTEM?
Not necessarily. For many venues, private 5G is best positioned alongside established DMR or TETRA voice systems. Radio continues to support resilient group voice, while private 5G provides a broadband layer for video, applications and operational data.
IS PRIVATE 5G A REPLACEMENT FOR VENUE WI-FI?
Not in every area or for every user. Wi-Fi remains appropriate for many fixed and general connectivity requirements. Private 5G should be considered where a defined operational use case requires controlled coverage, mobility, local control or reliable uplink capability.
CAN THE NETWORK SUPPORT TEMPORARY EVENTS?
Yes. The business case contains an Antevia reference for rapidly deployable, temporary event connectivity that can be dismantled and reused. Each deployment would still require appropriate site, spectrum and application planning.
CAN THE SOLUTION COVER INDOOR AND OUTDOOR AREAS?
The Antevia proposition includes indoor radio units and an optional outdoor O-RAN radio. The final design depends on the site, required coverage, spectrum availability, mounting locations, power, fibre or structured cabling, and the supported end-to-end architecture.
HOW DO WE IDENTIFY THE RIGHT FIRST USE CASE?
Start with an operational problem that can be measured. Examples include unreliable connectivity for point of sale, inconsistent body-camera video upload, weak coverage in back-of-house areas, staff-application availability or temporary event coverage.
DO WE NEED TO COMMIT TO A FULL VENUE DEPLOYMENT IMMEDIATELY?
No. The proposed commercial approach is to begin with a bounded, paid Proof of Value that has agreed success measures and defined conversion criteria before moving to a larger deployment.
IS PRIVATE 5G REQUIRED BY MARTYN’S LAW?
No. Private 5G should not be presented as a requirement of Martyn’s Law. It may support wider operational preparedness and communications resilience, but it is not a prescribed compliance technology. The business case explicitly instructs that it should be positioned as a commercial-resilience catalyst only, never as a compliance requirement.
